Position Summary:  Responsible for the manufacture of tools, fixtures, and complex components and assemblies to precise tolerances as directed by drawings, sketches or verbal instruction.  Provide and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures to manufacturing areas to assure production levels are sustained.  Will be required to use computers and autocad.


  1. Perform basic machine and equipment repair and fabrication of machine parts.
  2. Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment or facilities problems.
  3. Understand machine assemblies
  4. Set up and operate all types of tool room machinery and equipment
  5. Interpret mechanical drawings and tolerances
  6. Use of various measuring instruments.
  7. Able to build new tooling such as dies, fixtures, and gauges
  8. Operate Lathe and Milling machines
  9. Work with others on troubleshooting production concerns
  10. Works from drawings, sketches, models or instructions.
  11. Will be required to assist maintenance in maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment in production areas.
  12. Maintain records and make data entries into computer systems
  13. Wear all required PPE at all times
  14. Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area
  15. Other duties as required. Operate and set up of all types of tool room machinery and equipment.

Education and Experience:  Trade School or formal apprenticeship program.  Must be able to read and understand written directions in English. Understanding of machines assemblies.  CNC experience desired, not necessary.  1-2 years related experience.

Physical Demands: Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required.

Environment:  Manufacturing environment:  high noise, high dust, dirt and grease, Exposure to temperature over 90 degrees 20% of the time.
