Position Summary:  Process, control, and reconcile various functions that fall under the realm of accounting and inventory.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee inventory control within the manufacturing process, in warehouses and during transfers between manufacturing sites.
  2. Ensure accurate inventory valuation (costing, transactional analysis, etc.).
  3. Assist with annual plan process including sales and operational planning, operating budgets and updating labor and overhead rates.
  4. Responsible for providing various financial reports which accurately calculate and reconcile reserves, cost allocations, etc.
  5. Plan, manage, and reconcile annual physical inventory for all US and off-shore inventory locations.
  6. Assist with annual financial audits.
  7. Prepare and post journal entries.
  8. Analyze account reconciliations.
  9. Prepare reports detailing monthly expenses by cost center.
  10. Assist Controller in other Financial functions as needed.

 

Skills:  Must be detail oriented, have strong ability to multi-task efficiently, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.  

Education and Experience:  BS Degree in Accounting, 0-4 years experience in accounting role, extensive experience with Microsoft Office Excel, experience with an ERP operating system preferred.  Ideally, Oracle v 11i or R12.
