Congratulations to the University of Sherbrooke

Earlier this year, the 3rd annual eMotoRacing "Varsity Challenge" ebike roadrace took place in New Jersey at the Motorsports Park. There, engineering students from Canada and the United States raced their custom built electric motorcycles for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship awarded by Woodcraft Technologies.

eMotoRacing is a zero-emissions bike racing series in the US.  All race bikes emit no exhaust and use alternate forms of propulsion.

This year, EMS was delighted to sponsor the team by donating our SigmaClad™ material to the students of the University of Sherbrooke for the battery packs which were used in their custom built racebike. Their racebike, which contained a Li-Ion cylindrical cell battery pack, ultimately won the race and scholarship!

Congratulations to the bright minds at University of Sherbrooke for all of their hard work!
